When I upload any video on youtube it stops responding, and even if I wait like an hour it still has

whenever I attempt to upload any video to youtube, regardless of file type, it just stops responding. This only started happening a few days ago; prior to that I was able to upload videos with no problem. I am currently trying to upload a slide show type video that I created using windows movie maker, and it is of the exact same file type as every other video I have uploaded. Yet for some reason this video will not upload, nor will any other video I try to upload. Somebody suggested that I wait awhile after uploading the video, as it may simply take awhile for the video to upload. But it has seriously been over an hour and the video has not uploaded, and I still get an hour glass whenever I hover over the page. What could be causing this problem? What could be making the videos not upload? And how do I fix it?
