you have to have the picture/video bigger than the format screen so the blocks used to build the picture is not stretched and looks choppy, and sometimes it has to do wit hthe software you use.

I heard you had to upload at a ridiculous resolution and have the audio sampling rate and bitrate at specific levels. This is something YouTube could improve on its on, but I don't think that's gonna happen unfortunately.
