Video is weird!!! please help computer geeks?

Almost all the videos I watch online like cnn news You tube..they are all looking weird like all the colors look like a kalidascope...however when i watch videos off my harddrive they look fine?..Hint i just installed a new harddrive perhapts im missing some video drivers or something?...thanks so much I hope someone can help..by the way iv downloaded realplay..quicktime..windows media 9.0 cant go higher i have a bootleg and some divx programs but still the videos online are weird audio perfect but kayidascope videos ..no i dont do drugs..

It sounds like a internet plugin issue since they play fine off hard drive but not the net. It could be codec issue of different types of media files. Try uninstalling whatever the plugins are and reinstall.

It could also be a corrupt media player. Check for updates to windows and get the latest player and codecs.

Another possibility could be the video card driver or onboard motherboard video. Get the latest drivers, uninstall the old ones and install the new ones.

It just may be the boot leg, perhaps Microsoft has blocked some of the IE updates which you need to play videos correctly?
first of all geeks is not an appreciated word, I'm a certified computer repair tech, and what you're missing is codec files, however i'm not sure which you're missing, try to find out and download them
you should check under internet options%26gt;advanced settings
well, the drugs thing was my first guess, but since u claim not to be on anything, then it's probably just where ur getting ur videos from, i dont know
I say go with the other guys but you should have someong look at it if what they said doesn't work.
