I really need an computer technician advices...
First of all, my 32MB was burned.
Recently I bought 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 5500. Before I assembled it on the my PC I add one fan making it very cool on dispersing the hot air, a total of 5 fans in all including the processor.
When I assembled the video card and turn it on, no video connectivity. I unplug the video card on AGP slot and plug it again. There's no sound that beep so it means the video card is not functioning. Still no signal from the monitor, i unplug my 2rams and plug it again. But still it can't. I tried many solutions and at last it went OK.
My specs is 1GB RAM, 1GHz processor P4 AMD Duron, 256 Video Card..
I used my PC for 12-15hrs. I realize every morning when i turn on my PC, THERE'S NO CONNECTIVITY!!! or my PC is not working!!! I turn it on and off many times, i guess 3-5 times without dissemble some parts on my PC. after 3-5 times on switching on and off then my PC is working FINE!
How to fix this annoying status?
Video Card, I really need help!?cool myspace
P4 and AMD are two different processors %26amp; have different mother board as well. You ask the vendor for AMD compatible Graphic card %26amp; keep you PC in highly ventileted place and reduce the number of fans three only or increase the capacity of SMPS.

what is the wattage of your power supply? I think u might need a bigger power supply..
I would recommend a PSU greater than 450watts.. If your current PSU is less than that, i think u should change it soon before it causes more damage to your system.
If your computer has onboard video, you need to go into your Bios and disable the onboard video setting so that it will seek the video connection from the AGP slot instead. Sounds like right now though you have installed the video card into the AGP slot, your Bios is telling the system you are using the onboard video instead. As for you system specs you list, I am confused, P4 means Intel Pentium 4 generation, AMD Duron is an entirely different processor series not manufactured by Intel. If you built your machine and used a motherboard for a P4 and have inserted an AMD Duron processor, this could well be your problem too as they are not compatible mixed together. Perhaps you could locate the motherboard manufacturers name and model number and add that to the additional comments, that way I can check your specs and help further.
when you boot up, do you see the bios booting up?
if so, you still have a chance to repair the computer part(s).
else, get a old working monitor and see if it helps.
ps: get a fan appliance type to blow the air inside the room with the computer.

you need a new power supply. o and also learn some stuff before you post. P4 are made by Intel and Durons are made by AMD you can't have both of them on one motherboard they are RIVALS. anyway here is a good PSU:
