Help uploading video from video camera?

I just bought a Video Camera JVC Model, and i want to upload videos from my video camra, i used my USB cable to upload my pictures that i took but when i switch the mode from memory (pics) to video, it goes from uploading pics to a normal video camera mode, where i can see and view my videos i made. Also when i upload with the USB with the memory switch still on, i cant upload videos, so thats not the problem.

PLEASE help, and im only 16 and i don't understand computer talk so dumb things down for me.

your video camera should come with some kid software, you have to install the software first, then from the application software, you should able to do the uploading thing , just follow the instruction. If you don't have the software that came with the camera, you can buy third party's software to do the job, photo shop , movie maker, etc.

Unfortunately you have not told us the exact type of your JVC camcorder - they make a number of types and the method you use to transfer your video from the camcorder to the PC is different for each type - it would appear from what you have told us that USB is not the way to do it on your camcorder.

Does your camcorder record onto small Minidv tapes ???

if it does then you should be using a 'firewire' connection and you will find a read of this article very useful and informative :-

The software being used is Ulead VideoStudio - you can download a free trial to see if it works for you from :-

but if your camcorder records onto something different (dvd/hard drive/memory card) then you need to tell us so we can tell you the method for that type
