I have a mini-DV Sony TRV19 camcorder. I'm using a connection to the camera that plugs into my computer via USB.
Previously, I've used Microsoft Moviemaker to capture video off the camera. I plug the camera in, open up Moviemaker, hit play on my camera, then click a capture video button in Moviemaker.
I've done that 2 or 3 times, and it's worked fine.
Last night, when I was doing it, on the digital video file I captured, the audio was fine and played normally, but the video was jerky, almost not video at all, but more like jerky still shots from the video portion.
Do you have any idea what's going on?

Try replugging the USB cord and make sure connections are good. Restart computer and try again. Also try to looking for updates on your movie maker program. You might also want to try a old DV tape that you made a movie before and see if it will download again with good video. Good luck!
